📰 “Opportunities in the Field of In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD)” Seminar Held at Boğaziçi University
📍 On 12 November 2019, a seminar entitled “Opportunities in the Field of In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD)” was held at the Institute of Biomedical Engineering on Boğaziçi University's Kandilli Campus, with the scientific contribution of Archem.
🎤 Delivered by Dr. Salih UCA (Archem), the seminar was met with strong interest from students of Boğaziçi University's Biotechnology master's and doctoral programmes. The event was organised in cooperation with İSEK (Istanbul Health Industry Cluster), İnovita, LifeSci and Boğaziçi-BME.
🌍 The seminar focused on the need for the IVD sector — with an average annual global turnover of 70 billion dollars — to occupy a greater place within biotechnology education. In this context, topics such as how a biotechnological biomarker is produced, how it can be commercialised and which regulations apply were addressed in detail.
🔬 As part of its scientific responsibility, Archem aims to contribute to our country's IVD R&D ecosystem and to guide the researchers of the future by sharing its sectoral knowledge with universities.
🎓 The participating students had the opportunity to broaden their sectoral perspective with practical knowledge that goes beyond theoretical background. In the assessments made at the end of the event, it was emphasised that the seminar had been highly informative and inspiring.
