🧪 “Metrological Quality” Workshop Held at the University of Health Sciences
Hosted by the University of Health Sciences (SBÜ) and organised in cooperation with the Turkish Biochemical Society, the workshop entitled “Metrological Quality: Traceability, Measurement Uncertainty, Proof of Method Validity” brought together leading experts in the field.
📍 Held on 1 April 2019 at the Mücahit Atmanoğlu Meeting Hall of SBÜ Istanbul SUAM, the workshop examined the reliability and traceability of measurement quality within a scientific framework.
🔬 Presentations by Leading Specialists
The programme featured contributions from TÜBİTAK UME experts Oktay CANKUR, Murat TUNÇ, Kevser TOPAL and Müslüm AKGÖZ; Prof. Dr. Abdurrahman COŞKUN of Acıbadem University; and Salih UCA of Archem Diagnostics.
🏭 A Contribution from Archem: the Manufacturer's Perspective
On behalf of Archem Diagnostics, Salih UCA delivered a presentation entitled “CLSI-Based Method Validation: From the Manufacturer's Perspective”. The talk shared Archem's approach to the responsibilities manufacturers carry in ensuring measurement reliability in the diagnostics sector, the application of CLSI (Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute) standards, and method validation processes.
🔍 Agenda: Reliable Measurement, Applicable Standards
Topics addressed throughout the workshop included the importance of metrological traceability; measurement uncertainty and verification processes; quality control methods applied in laboratories and the effect of reference materials on accuracy; and the shared quality responsibilities of manufacturers and users.
🎯 A Scientific Approach to Quality at Archem
Archem continues to take part in every platform that contributes to the validation of scientifically grounded IVD products, supporting knowledge sharing in the sector and academia-industry collaboration.
“Reliability in diagnostic systems is not only a technological but also a scientific responsibility. We are honoured to contribute to the work carried out in this direction.”
